我相信喝到令自己心動的酒款,就好比一見鍾情一樣可遇不可求。甚至更多的時候,你就算明知是好酒,入口也不見得有那樣的感動,但有時神奇的時刻會突然降臨,通常還伴隨意在酒外的更多感動,這時除了想貪婪的留住每一秒之外,腦中就再沒有其他想法。

2008 18 Mid as opposed to deep crimson. Very rich, then peppery on the nose. Limpid sweetness with powerful liquorice and real appeal. Very visceral in its appeal. Great richness. This one lets itself go - not a stitch of corsetry in sight. Very seductive.
2009 18 Heady and richly satiny textured. Meaty and minerals. Lovely. Dry finish. But so gorgeous on the palate. Lovely stuff at this stage. So fresh after sumptuous black fruit. Relatively open.
2010 17.5 Spicy and very rich. Smooth and easy. Cinnamon and ripe fruit. One of the more precocious wines although there is lots of tannin underneath too.
2012 16.5 Deep dark cherry red. Slightly stemmy cherries on the nose. And a little stalky on the palate. Fresh and energetic, not over-smoothed. Nice dry finish, though slightly abrupt at the end? A bit disappointing. (JH)
